Figure Lengend Snippet: The needle biopsies was routinely processed to obtain 4 µm thick, hematoxylin–erythrosin stained histological sections. Glass scanner Philips IntelliSite Pathology Solution Ultra Fast Scanner 1.8 was used to obtain digital images which were reviewed using the Image management system from Philips: Philips IntelliSite Pathology Solution, ver 3.2. The histological picture is characterized by relatively distinct non-necrotizing granulomas consisting of epithelioid histiocytes with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Limited lymphocytic infiltrate around the granulomas (so-called naked granuloma) may occur.
